Telcred Home allows residents to manage access for their household while property managers maintain control of the building infrastructure.
Residents can issue cards, mobile access, PIN codes and digital access links directly from the app, eliminating shared entrance codes, intercom systems and remote controls.

They can create and manage:

Typically, residents assign cards and mobile access to household members while creating temporary PIN codes or web links for deliveries, guests or service providers.
This removes the need for shared entrance codes and improves security.

Strengthening building security was a key objective for the association. At the same time, the solution needed to be easy for residents to use in everyday life.
Eliminate the mechanical key hierarchy
In traditional residential buildings, shared doors such as entrances, storage rooms and waste rooms are typically part of a mechanical master key system. This means that apartment keys must also work for these shared doors.
Mechanical key systems are expensive to install and costly to maintain. Replacing cylinders or lost keys can affect multiple doors in the building and often requires replacing several components in the system.
With Telcred Home, shared doors are controlled digitally instead of through a mechanical key system.
This allows apartment doors to use independent lock cylinders that are not part of a master key hierarchy.
This has several advantages:
- lower cost for cylinders
- simpler replacements when tenants move
- no impact on other doors if a key is lost
- no complex master key structure to maintain
Physical keys are only used for the apartment door, while access to all shared spaces in the building is managed digitally.
Digital locks can also be installed on apartment doors when a fully digital access solution is desired. In that case, residents can manage access to their apartment in the same way as other doors in the building, using cards, mobile access, PIN codes or digital access links.
However, many properties choose to keep a simple mechanical cylinder on the apartment door while using digital access for all shared spaces. This provides most of the benefits of digital access while keeping installation costs low.
Efficient installation and commissioning
Telcred can deliver hardware from Axis Communications pre-configured, tested and ready to install.
When the hardware is powered on, it automatically connects to the Telcred platform. Because the connection is initiated from the controller (“call home”), installation typically requires no changes to firewalls or network settings. In most cases, the installation is simply plug-and-play.
Once the hardware is online, testing and configuration can be performed remotely. This makes it easy to verify installations and make adjustments without visiting the site.
For larger deployments, configuration parameters can be uploaded and applied in batches, enabling fast and efficient rollout across multiple locations.
